Slowly a veil of twilight covers the sky
And the blue-green earth below it.
Shadows begin to dance,
Tagging one another as they disappear.

The creatures who hide from the light
Seemingly begin to crawl from their darkness,
As the full moon takes the sun’s place in the night sky.

Slowly this twilight world begins to disappear
As the twilight moon moves to it’s rightful place,
To make this world a darkened paradise.

A chorus of howls pierces the twilight sky.
Singing proud and singing hard,
As they celebrate the moon’s arrival

All around this tiny group,
Bits and pieces of Human clothing could be seen.

From shirts to pants
To shorts and shoes
These wolves have shredded the last,
Of their well known humanity.

With furry muzzles
And bushy tails
These wolves sing to the moon
And to Fenris,
For their wondrous gift,
The gift of change.

To some this gift,
This ability to change,
Would be viewed as a dastardly thing.

A gift from evil
A gift of sin.
But no…it is not what it seems.

This gift of change is not an evil thing,
It is an escape.
It is a way into a world that no human could understand.
It is the world of the predator
It is the wolf’s realm.

With the last of their howls dying down,
And the excitement slowly growing in the twilight air,
These wolves will move around,
Ready to hunt
And ready to play,
But not in any Human way.
